Creativity is not alien to me, though I am an amateur in theatre performances…But this sort of a production is completely new for me, it’s an experience that I’m really looking forward to. To take the next step in my career.
Siddhartha SarmahMeera Actor
It’s shown me a different side to a large production, something that I wasn’t aware of before [and] has been really good learning experience. Working with a lot of amazing people along the way, Aarti and the rest of the crew, it has inspired me to be a part of this in such a good and positive way – it’s been really great.
Rajesh RanjithMeera Narrator
When I got told I was in a main role – I was so excited. I just read the email over and over and over again. I kept telling myself “what...am I actually the character!?”... I was overjoyed
Zara LeinsterMeera Dancer
Dance, love, Meera…it’s all synonymous to me. When I’m dancing, I feel happy, when you’re happy you feel in-love, it’s all the emotions mixed together. So for me dancing in Meera, and feeling loved, feeling in-love, and being loved, it’s the most beautiful form of being.
Sonu HaikerwalMeera Dancer
It’s the first time I’m doing something which is so out of my usual roles, so it’s a big challenge for me, and I’m absolutely loving it. You watch fantastic productions on television or on stage, but once in a lifetime you get a chance to participate in it, and it’s been a wonderful journey for me
Sonu NigamMeera Actress
A genuine understanding of Indian history and the arts has been brought out my true character. I found a sense of artistic value in me.
Suhas TumkarMeera Actor
Seeing all the beauty and characters come to life, helping make this creation happen…the energy, the love, and the people that’re in the show. It’s going to be amazing.
Sunseeray LangkowskiMeera Choreographer
I heard about Meera through family and friends, and it sparked a curiosity for me, and since exploring the acting and dancing – which I’ve always had a passion for, I’ve found this creative media to be so important in drawing out people’s strengths and building their confidence in the performing arts
Pam ChauhanMeera Actress
I think the production will impact the audience immensely just because it’s so different than what everyone would be used to, rather than just one dance style the entire time, Meera has a little bit of everything in it and will leave the audience amazed by the whole thing.
Michelle QuirkeMeera Dancer
I think people will be amazed by the theatrical nature and story of Meera, so I think each person’s experience will be different. But no doubt they will enjoy it, to see the trials and tribulations of: Meera.
Rajesh RanjithMeera Narrator
It’s quite different and was difficult at first, because you have to start from the very beginning. But I like learning different types of dance and it’s so much fun.
Zara LeinsterMeera Dancer
This is a once in a life-time opportunity for me to play a character like this outside of India.
Mamatha Chittari Meera Actress
I have been on stage dancing for seven years now and I’ve been acting for a couple of years – I just love the stage.
Jaye SamraMeera Dancer
Dance and stage performance have always been my passion and after hearing about Meera through a work colleague, I contacted Aarti. Now I play a lead role in the production
Amit SutariaMeera Dancer
I am a classically trained singer and am part of a group called Aluna Dreaming – and that’s how Aarti found me. Every day I am completely amazed at Aarti’s energy and I am really excited to be a part of Meera.
