Meera x QAHS Performance Workshops

“I believe arts education in music, theatre, dance, and the visual arts is one of the most creative ways we have to find the gold that is buried just beneath the surface. They (children) have an enthusiasm for life a spark of creativity, and vivid imaginations that need training – training that prepares them to become confident young men and women.”

– Richard W. Riley, Former US Secretary of Education

Could anything be more powerful for a student’s nurturing and educational years than what Mr Richard W. Riley, Former US Secretary of Education spoke about children enthusiasm for life. The Production Meera workshops that came to life at QAHS felt the same enthusiasm and spark in all the exciting kids. They were full of beautiful exciting energy, surrounded by clear aura and brains with a capacity to absorb and grow. Growth without prejudice. And surely QAHS thinks for their students and gives them a platform with a very futuristic approach. In a very integrated fashion, Meera workshops went in full swing at the QAHS campus.

From Indian Classical, contemporary dance workshops, acting workshops, stage etiquette we did it all. Beautiful Classical singer Ms Barbara Prestia, showcased her mystical voice to enchant all and used her magic wand to guide all through her vocal productions workshop. And surely QAHS thinks for their students and gives them a platform with a very futuristic approach. In a very integrated fashion, Meera workshops went in full swing at the QAHS campus. “The arts are an essential element of education, just like reading, writing, and arithmetic…music, dance, painting, and theatre are all keys that unlock profound human understanding and accomplishment.”

   – William Bennett, Former US Secretary of Education

The auditorium was filled with creative enthusiasm and was bursting with ample amount of young talent. Talent that need to be nurtured and respected. And that is exactly what Wild Dreamer productions philosophy is. Through Production Meera, the Production house aims to bring the platform to all those young talents who knows they have it in them, just want that one chance to show it to the world. We were all thrilled to see these amazing talented students bring all there infectious vibrant creative energy to PRODUCTION MEERA’s Understudy Auditions and get through them like a pro.

“. . . the arts have been an inseparable part of the human journey; indeed, we depend on the arts to carry us toward the fullness of our humanity. We value them for themselves, and because we do, we believe knowing and practicing them is fundamental to the healthy development of our children’s minds and spirits. That is why, in any civilization – ours included – the arts are inseparable from the very meaning of the term ‘education.’ We know from long experience that no one can claim to be truly educated who lacks basic knowledge and skills in the arts.”
